I am a comic artist and storyteller with over 25 years of experience creating visual narratives for both international and Indonesian/Muslim audiences. My work spans educational comics, web series, anthologies, and faith-based storytelling — featured in platforms such as I Get It Comics, Liqomik, Qzone Magazine, and even Oxford University Press. I’ve also contributed sparingly to community-focused comics for KIBAR UK and the Indonesian Islamic Centre (IIC London). My projects explore language, identity, spirituality, and everyday reflection through accessible visual storytelling.
Petualangan Nala dan Taring (Comic Junior, 2021)

A special collaboration with my then 12-year-old daughter, who designed the main characters: a hijabi cat named Nala and her dragon, Firefang. This 12-page comic was part of Comic Junior #1 – Berbuat Baik, a compilation by young Muslim artists in Indonesia.

I Get It Comics (2011–2015)
Role: Story & Illustration (Web/Print)
Originally launched as a comic strip column in CnS Magazine, a publication by LIA (Lembaga Indonesia Amerika), I Get It Comics was created to explain English idioms in a fun and accessible way. LIA, known for its English education programs for Indonesians and Indonesian language courses for foreigners, provided the perfect platform for this lighthearted educational series. The comic has since grown into a web/print project of its own.

One of my comic strips from I Get It Comics was featured in the MYP English Language book published by Oxford University Press under the section “Thinking about Communication and Idioms”.
Context: The comic is used to illustrate how idioms can be misunderstood when taken literally — part of a lesson on bilingualism and language learning.
